Do You Need License to Work as Locksmith in California?

According to locksmithingschool.com, “Yes, California regulates the locksmith industry through the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS). Individuals employed as locksmiths also need to be registered and licensed as locksmith employees, who are given locksmith pocket cards (LOC license).”

And yet, while they believe that all locksmiths in California should be trained, they also said that “California doesn’t have any certification or educational qualification requirement for locksmith.”
